One shape, two heights. A 29-inch coffee table and a 22-inch end table in ebony-stained oak veneer, each a round top on one wide cone pedestal.
Acqui is one design made at two sizes. Each table has a slim round top with a square edge, a shallow sloped underside, and a single smooth cone pedestal that widens toward the floor, so the top overhangs evenly all round. The coffee table stands 17 inches high and the end table 15, so side by side the smaller top sits just below the larger one and the pair reads as a family.
The finish is a deep ebony stain on oak veneer over MDF and solid wood. The open pores of the oak stay a shade lighter than the stain, so cathedral arches and flowing figure show softly on the tops and fine straight grain runs up the cones. Set the pair on a jute rug in front of a cream linen sectional for contrast, or beside cognac leather for a darker, richer room.
