Alassio 80-Inch Sand Wash Ash and Rattan Media Console

Pale ash, golden rattan. A long sand-wash ash veneer console with woven natural rattan doors, an open cubby over two drawers and brass-finish sled legs.

Alassio starts with white ash veneer over plywood, LVL, MDF and Asian hardwood, then takes a sand wash: a light, warm khaki-brown with a faint pale wash settling into the open grain. Because the veneer is real ash, the figure wanders differently across every door frame, drawer front and end panel. The two front corners curve round into the ends and the top follows them, which softens a case this long.

At each end, a hinged door holds a panel of woven natural rattan in a fine square weave, framed by a slim raised bead and left free of knobs. The center stacks an open cubby for a streaming box or receiver over two drawers, each with a pair of round brass-tone knobs. Beneath, a satin brass-finish tube runs under each end and turns down into two legs. Pair it with limestone, linen and olive branches for a Mediterranean feel, or with white oak floors and a jute rug for an easy coastal room.

For a matching open-grained ash look, add our Pesaro ash veneer fluted pedestal coffee table in front of the sofa.
