- A collar and a ring: Where the top narrows, a short straight collar and one rounded ring break the line before the base flares out again. The glass is thickest here, so the green runs deepest.
- Light through the base: Seen at an angle in a room, the thin wall of the cone base lets daylight through, and the collar shows faintly through the glass above it.
- Deep emerald glass: A saturated green with a glossy surface. Hand-blown glass carries small natural variations in tone and the odd tiny bubble, so no two tables are quite the same.

A small side table blown by hand from one piece of deep emerald glass. A wide round top with a softly rounded rim sits over an inverted cone, a short collar and one rounded ring mark the waist, and a flared cone forms the base. The glass is translucent: where it is thin the green glows clear, and where it is thick along the rim and the ring it turns almost black-green. Because each piece is blown by hand, the tone, the surface and the form vary slightly from table to table. It holds up to 11 pounds and needs no assembly.
