- A stepped top, glazed blue: The side turns in over a short rounded shoulder to a flat top disc with a thin raised rim, glazed in swirling blue-green. Just below it the blue-grey band starts to run down in drips.
- A small drum beside the arm: Seen at an angle it is a simple ceramic cylinder 13 inches across, standing on a slightly narrower foot, so it takes very little room beside a sofa or a chair.
- A reactive glaze: The glaze moves in the kiln, so blue-grey drips run into cream in a pattern that is never repeated. It is glossy, with a pearly sheen and fine speckles, and no two pieces are the same.

A small round side table in glazed ceramic, made in the shape of a classic garden stool: a straight drum with a stepped top and a slightly recessed foot. It is finished in a reactive glaze that changes as it fires. A misty blue-grey band runs round the top and drips down into a creamy ivory body that turns paler toward the foot, and the top itself is a swirl of blue-green glaze. The glaze is glossy with a soft pearly sheen and fine speckles, and because it is fired, every piece comes out a little different, with the occasional small pore or dark speck.
