Classic lines, softly weathered. A 65-inch dresser in wire-brushed gray birch veneer, with seven framed drawers, pewter knobs and turned bun feet.
Bassano borrows its outline from the country-house dresser: a molded top over a stepped crown, every drawer front set in its own narrow frame, and a molded plinth on four turned bun feet. The birch veneer is lightly wire-brushed, which lifts the grain into fine darker lines, then finished in a matte driftwood gray with a warm taupe cast, so the traditional shape reads relaxed rather than formal.
Three small drawers run across the top above four wide ones, all dovetailed and on ball-bearing glides, and the top center drawer holds a felt-lined jewelry tray for rings and watches. A shallow hidden drawer keeps valuables out of sight, and the dresser arrives ready to use, with no assembly. Style it with white linen and pale oak floors for a soft farmhouse room, or with charcoal bedding and a cognac leather bed for more contrast.
