Built for holiday feasts. A 96-inch rectangle of solid white ash in a warm walnut stain, with a soft rolled edge and legs right at the corners, so eight people sit with elbow room to spare.

Belvedere is solid white ash, stained a warm walnut brown that lets the open ash grain show through, in a satin, low-sheen finish. The grain and the tone of each glued stave vary a little, which gives the top real depth up close. Each of the four legs rises up through a notch in the corner of the top and finishes flush as a small oval of end grain, a detail you notice every time you sit down.

A thick 1.6-inch rolled edge runs all the way round, soft under your forearms through a long meal. With the legs at the very corners, no stretchers and 25 inches clear under the apron, three chairs fit along each side and one at each end. Set it with linen and white flowers for a bright coastal room, or on an old rug under a gilded mirror for a classic look.
