Jute top, cotton sides. An 18-inch round pouf, hand-braided in natural jute and cotton: a spiral jute top ringed in off-white over coiled cotton sides.

Bordighera is hand-braided from two natural fibers. The top is a flat spiral of chunky tan jute braid, set with one wide ring of off-white cotton and two thin cotton lines further out, and its outer braid rolls over the rounded edge. Below it, braided off-white cotton rope coils round in fine, even rows all the way to the floor.

Jute is a natural fiber, so its tone shifts a little from braid to braid and loose fibers show here and there, which gives every pouf its own character. Filled firm, it keeps a neat drum shape for resting feet or perching, and it is light enough to move between rooms. Pair it with cognac leather and wide oak boards, or with white linen and pale stone for a breezy coastal look.
