Every chair pulls in. An 82-inch racetrack oval in pale grey oak veneer on two sculpted slab pedestals, set well in from the rounded ends so six people sit comfortably with no corner legs to dodge.
The top is a thick 2-inch slab of oak veneer over wood and engineered wood, in a pale, warm grey that lets the deep, textured grain show through, the open pores a shade darker than the surface. Because it's real wood veneer, the figure and tone shift a little from table to table, and that character is part of the charm.
Each pedestal is two heavy slabs joined in a T, edges softly rounded, so the table looks grounded and feels substantial: 147 pounds once assembled. With no legs at the corners, every chair along the sides pulls right in, and the soft oval ends are easy to walk around in a busy room. Style it with linen, stone and white ceramics for a bright coastal look, or on herringbone under a gilt mirror for a fresh take on classic.
