Carlopoli feels more like a chair than a perch. The back rises from the seat with no gap, curves around you and widens into soft wings at the top, so there's something to lean into over a long breakfast or a glass of wine at the island.
Seat and back are hand-woven from kubu rattan: whole round reeds washed to a mottled mix of chalky grey, sand and honey, so every stool has its own pattern of tones, nodes and small marks. It stands on four square mahogany legs in a light, weathered grey-brown finish, joined by four stretchers that double as a footrest, and it arrives fully assembled. Pair it with pale oak, linen and stone for a relaxed coastal kitchen, or with concrete and black steel for a soft industrial look.
