- A rolled rim: The flat top turns down into a thick rolled rim, brighter than the rest. A fine seam runs round the body just below it, where the top meets the hammered shell.
- A tapered drum: Seen at an angle the table narrows from the 20-inch top to a smaller rounded foot, so it looks lighter at the floor than a straight drum of the same size.
- Hand-hammered metal: Rows of shallow hammer marks cover the body. The antique gold finish darkens in the hollows and catches the light on the ridges, so no two tables look exactly alike.
