Reeded, tailored, warm. A 65.5-inch dresser in ash-brown ash veneer, with finely reeded drawer fronts, dark vertical bar pulls and a recessed black plinth.

Fine vertical reeds run down every drawer front, broken by two smooth raised bands that carry the pulls, so the long front is drawn in quiet stripes of light and shadow. The ash is finished a warm, matte brown that still lets its open grain show, and the front corners of the case are softly rounded.

Beneath the ash veneer is a core of MDF, plywood, laminated veneer lumber and rubberwood, which keeps a wide case flat and true. Six wide drawers run on metal extension glides, each 29 inches across inside, and the black plinth sits back from the edges so the case seems to hover. Style it with oatmeal linen and brass for a warm, tailored room, or with white walls and black metal for a sharper modern edge.

Each drawer leaves one plain band of ash for its pull, set slightly forward of the reeds, and the dark bar ends in a chamfer at the top.

A long case on a black base

Three rows of reeded drawers stretch across 65.5 inches, the pulls stack into two broken dark lines, and the recessed plinth keeps the case from sitting heavy.

Straight ash grain

Up close the ash veneer shows fine open pores and a straight, even figure under a warm, matte brown finish.
