Texture at the island. A counter stool with a rounded back wrapped in natural seagrass, a walnut-brown acacia frame and a padded cream fabric seat.
Cerisano's back is wrapped front, back and edges in twisted natural seagrass, laid in tight horizontal rows. The rope shifts from honey and tan to deeper brown, so the back reads as soft streaks of colour, and because seagrass is a natural fibre, no two stools are quite the same. Below it, a thick foam-padded seat in a cream herringbone-weave fabric keeps a long breakfast comfortable.
The frame is acacia wood in a warm walnut-brown finish: four round, tapered legs, a square apron under the seat, and a low rectangle of round rods with a double footrest at the front, so there is always a place for your feet. Line up two or three along a white marble island for a coastal feel, or set them against sage paint and old oak for a relaxed country kitchen.
