Patchwork leather, low and square. An 18-inch square pouf in distressed brown genuine leather, pieced from four panels on every face.

Cervo is covered in distressed brown genuine leather, a muted reddish chestnut with pale veins where the pull-up lightens and cloudy darker patches in between. The pattern shifts from one panel to the next, and the leather grows softer and takes on a patina as it is used, so the pouf gains character year after year.

The top and each of the four sides are pieced from four panels, joined by seams stitched in brown on both sides, and a thin flange with a raw cut edge traces every edge of the cube. Dense polystyrene beads hold it in a firm shape for resting your feet or taking a seat, and a zip runs down one corner. Set it on a jute rug beside cream linen for a relaxed villa look, or next to cognac leather and a faded rug for a loft feel.

For a matching look, set it near our Terracina solid mango block coffee table in dark walnut, another square shape in a deep brown tone.

Four panels, one cross

Close up on the top: two straight seams cross at the center and split it into four panels, each seam lined with brown stitching, the pale veins changing from panel to panel.

Low before cognac leather

On a faded rug in a sunlit loft, the square pouf stands in front of a cognac leather sofa, its top below the seat cushions and each side pieced in four.

A raw-cut leather lip

At a top corner the panels are stitched edge to edge into a thin flange. Its cut edge is left raw, a shade paler than the leather face, with the stitch line just inside.
