- The cone beneath the top: A single cone of vertical-grained wood, lightly whitewashed, carries the round top and widens evenly to a flat round foot on the floor. The top's edge band shows fine horizontal lines above it.
- A wide top on one base: Seen at an angle the table reads as a pale round top floating over a single cone, with the top overhanging the base on every side. There are no legs to walk around and nothing under the top but the cone.
- Oak, limed white: The oak veneer is wire-brushed and its open grain filled white, so bold pale lines run through a warm beige-tan ground in a flowing cathedral figure. The finish is matte.
