Dark ash, soft edges. A 66-inch dresser in burnished black ash veneer, with eight drawers inside rounded posts and carved finger channels.

Ash has an open, deep grain, and the burnished finish settles into it so a warm brown glows through the near-black surface wherever light crosses a drawer. The ash is real veneer over MDF, rubberwood and laminated veneer lumber, a mix that keeps a long case flat and steady.

There are no knobs or bars. Each of the four rows has one long channel carved along its top edge, and rounded front posts curve down into a rounded bottom rail, framing the drawers above a recessed plinth. The rows are graduated, shallow at the top for jewelry and deeper below for sweaters, and the top drawers are lined in black felt. Pair it with pale plaster and oatmeal linen for contrast, or with cognac leather and warm oak floors for a richer room.
