The Deruta story

Nine channels, two slabs.

A plain wood frame. A row of soft, round channels.

The seat is padded ivory white boucle, divided into nine rounded channels that run from front to back and end in soft, domed curves along the front edge.

Under the frame, two thick slab legs stand set in from the ends, with nothing running between them.

The design

Soft top, solid base.

52 inches long and 17 deep, at 18 inches high: about the seat height of a dining chair. Padding on top, wood below, nothing in between.

The legs

Two slabs, open between.

The two slab legs stand crosswise under the frame, each set in from its end, with open floor between them.

The frame and legs share one wire-brushed finish, so the base reads as a single piece of wood.

With no rail between the legs, there is open floor under the frame.
