A honeycomb of bronze. A 32-inch round aluminum drum in an antique bronze finish, its sides tiled with hexagon facets under a hammered top.
Gavi is a closed round drum of aluminum, with no legs and no base, and a side that swells gently outward before curving back in at the top and at the floor. Flat hexagon panels cover the whole side in staggered rows, each set at its own slight angle, so light moves across them as you walk past and the bronze shifts from deep olive-brown to muted gold.
The top is a flat disc hammered edge to edge with small round dimples, its outline softly notched where it meets the first row of panels. At 16 inches high it sits low in front of a sofa, and it comes ready to use with nothing to put together. Set it on jute with cream linen for a warm Mediterranean room, or on a faded vintage rug beside cognac leather.
For a matching hammered-metal look, add our Carovilli hammered metal drum side table at the end of the sofa.
