Pale oak, bronze legs. A 41-inch chest in cerused oak veneer, with two small drawers over three wide ones, on slim dark bronze-tone metal legs.
The oak's open pores are filled with white, so the grain reads as fine pale flecks over a soft greige, and the arched figure changes from drawer to drawer. Each drawer front carries its own narrow mitered molding, a small tailored detail that frames the wood without fuss.
The case is oak veneer over solid wood and MDF, and it stands on four slim metal legs whose brackets wrap the bottom corners, with levelers underneath. Two small drawers at the top keep watches and socks apart from folded clothes in the three wide drawers below. The drawers are joined with English dovetails and run on ball-bearing glides, with a felt-lined top drawer and a cedar-plank bottom drawer. Style it with cognac leather and charcoal linen for a loft, or with pale wood and cream bouclé for a soft, quiet bedroom.
