It sits on a matte black wood base with a wire-brushed grain: at each end two square posts rise in a V from a flat foot, and a low stretcher joins the two feet. The six armless chairs have tall backs with a shallow wing on each side, dove grey woven fabric with a heathered texture, a row of black nailheads along the wings and the seat, and square black legs. Marble is a natural stone, so the veining varies from table to table.
