The Giulianova story

Nine arches, one frame.

A tall headboard that does the talking.

Padded vertical channels, each ending in a rounded arch, stand side by side inside a slim pine frame: nine on the Queen, twelve on the King.

Below, the base is plain flat boards on tapered legs, with no footboard to hide the mattress.

The design

A headboard like piano keys.

The headboard rises to 47.2 inches, well above a row of pillows. Ten wooden slats and a centre lengthwise support carry the mattress, so no box spring is needed.

The headboard

The padded channels sit shoulder to shoulder inside a slim pine frame, each one ending in a rounded arch, so the top edge reads as a row of scallops.

The back of the headboard is closed with a protective cloth held by hook-and-loop fastener.

The base

Plain boards, tapered legs.

Seen from the foot, the rails are plain pine boards with softly rounded corner blocks, bolted together with small brass-coloured bolts. There is no footboard to hide the mattress.

The frame stands on tapered rubberwood legs in the same wheat tone.
