Reeded, rounded, pale. A 50-inch oval chest in pale limed oak veneer, reeded from top to plinth, with four deep soft-close drawers.

Gradisca is built on a racetrack oval, so both ends are fully rounded and there are no hard corners to bump in a tight bedroom. Fine vertical reeds wrap the ends and carry straight across the four drawers, so the front reads as one continuous surface. The oak veneer, laid over MDF and hardwood, is limed so its pores settle pale, close to the color of driftwood.

Each drawer is 9 inches high inside, deep enough for sweaters, jeans and a folded throw, and closes softly on a center metal glide. The drawers are dovetailed, the top one is felt-lined with a jewelry tray, and an anti-tip kit comes in the box. Style it with warm leather and charcoal linen for contrast, or with stoneware and white plaster for a quiet, pale room.

An edge pull under the top

A slim dark bronze-tone pull sits along the top edge of the drawer, just below the pale oak top and its narrow recessed collar.

Against a plaster wall, the reeds turn around both rounded ends and run down to a low plinth, with four drawers stacked in the middle of the front.
