Black grain, soft gold. A 63-inch dresser in wire-brushed black wood veneer, with eight drawers, ball knobs and a curved gold-finish base.
The veneer is wire-brushed before it is stained black, so the open grain stays visible as fine charcoal lines and each drawer front carries its own flame figure. Softly rounded front corners and a round-cornered top take the hard edges off a long, dark case.
Each column holds two shallow drawers over two deep ones: the top drawers are lined in brown felt for jewelry and socks, the deep ones take sweaters and jeans, and all run on metal ball-bearing slides. Underneath, a tubular rod in a soft gold finish runs along each end, curves round the corner and drops into a slim leg. Set it against limewashed walls with a round mirror above, or pair it with walnut and cream for a warmer mid-century mood.
