It turns a full circle and glides, so you can follow the sun or the conversation from one chair.
Marsala looks like a boxy club chair: a slim aluminum frame, woven rope arms and back, and thick cushions, in black with gray cushions or dark brown with taupe cushions.
Underneath, it sits on one round swivel base. The whole chair turns a full 360 degrees.
Four glider links hang the seat from the frame, so it also glides gently forward and back.
29 inches wide, 31 inches deep and 28 inches high, with the seat 17 inches off the floor. The side frames stop just above the ground; the chair stands on its round swivel base.
Twisted rope, wound in vertical strands over the arms and back.
Bolted pivots let the seat glide forward and back.
A round ring base that turns the whole chair 360 degrees.
The frame is aluminum with a black or dark brown finish, so it cannot rust: a good choice near the coast or in humid weather.
Wipe it with a cloth or spray it down with a hose.
Slim square aluminum tubes in black or dark brown, made for coastal and humid climates.
Gray or taupe polyester upholstery that water does not soak into easily and that resists mold and mildew.
The cushion covers have zippers, so they come off for washing.
A round ring base with curved spokes carries a central swivel hub, so the chair turns all the way round.
Between the hub and the seat, four glider links with bolted pivots let the seat move gently forward and back.
Each side is a simple rectangle of square aluminum tubing, with the rope wound over the arm and back.
The chair ships fully assembled: out of the box and onto the patio.
Whitewashed brick, bluestone and the dogwoods beyond.
Cedar slats, concrete pavers and an olive tree.
Turn towards the view, the fire or the conversation without getting up, and glide while you sit.
