Carved pulls, warm walnut. A tall 40-inch chest in walnut veneer, with five drawers, carved wooden pulls and rounded posts that run down into legs.

Montagnana has no metal on its front. Along the top of each drawer runs a slim walnut lip whose underside sweeps in a shallow arc over a dark finger recess, so five gentle curves stack up the chest. The four corner posts are softly rounded and run straight down to the floor as short legs, with the bottom rail curving into them in a small cove.

The walnut is veneer with MDF and rubberwood, under a satin finish that shows darker streaks and open pores. Three shorter drawers sit over two deeper ones, so socks and scarves go up top and bulky knits below, and the top drawer is lined with cedar and dark brown felt. Style it with a woven rug and layered linen for a relaxed mid-century bedroom, or against a deep green wall for a richer look.
