- Glass over the weave: A clear tempered glass disc the same size as the top rests on small clear pads, flush with the edge. Under it the seagrass is coiled in a spiral from the centre out.
- A simple drum beside the sofa: Seen at an angle it is a straight cylinder 18 inches across with no legs and no base, so it sits neatly in the space beside a sofa arm.
- Twisted natural seagrass: Tight horizontal rows of twisted seagrass rope run all the way round the side, warm tan with lighter straw and darker olive strands, matte and textured to the touch.

Twisted seagrass is coiled in tight horizontal rows all the way round the drum and in a spiral across the top, and a clear tempered glass top rests over it, so the weave stays in view and a glass or a lamp has a flat, easy-to-wipe surface. The frame inside is plywood. Seagrass is a natural fibre, so its tone varies a little from strand to strand, from pale straw to olive brown.
