Morano is solid acacia, washed a light grey that softens the wood to a pale greige while keeping its dark, swirling figure. Acacia is a wood with plenty of movement, so knots, streaks and colour shifts make every top its own, and the matte finish keeps the look calm and natural.

The base is the reason to look twice: four thick slab legs splay out from the centre and lock into two floor rails that cross flush, and at more than 160 pounds assembled, the table stands firmly on the floor. With the legs set about 11 inches in and no apron, all four places get clear knee room. Style it with a jute rug and raw ceramics for a relaxed loft, or with travertine and olive branches for a sunny Mediterranean feel.
