A five-piece extending dining set: one rectangular table and four upholstered side chairs. The table top is acacia veneer in a greyish-brown finish, laid in long narrow strips with a rough-sawn texture and fine dark distress marks, and it is very thick with crisp square edges. It stands on one open box-frame pedestal under the middle: two wide flat uprights joined by a plank at floor level, so the ends of the table stay clear for knees and chairs. Pull the two ends apart and drop in the separate 20-inch leaf to take the table from 76 to 96 inches long. The four armless chairs have tall backs in a light grey herringbone fabric, stitched with a fan of four seams and finished with a distressed wood cap rail, on square wood legs in the same brown as the table. The veneer is real wood, so the grain and saw marks vary from table to table.
