Fine reeds, soft gold. A 66-inch dresser and matching mirror in black-finished oak veneer, with eight reeded drawers and brushed gold-tone pulls.
Every drawer front is reeded edge to edge in fine vertical ribs, and the black finish lets the open grain of the oak veneer show through, so the surface has texture up close and reads as one calm, dark mass from across the room. The square mirror carries the same reeds along its crown and stands on the dresser top, so the two work as one piece. Beneath the black, the oak figure differs on every drawer.
The build combines oak veneer with rubberwood, MDF, plywood and polyresin. Eight equal drawers in two columns of four hold a full wardrobe, and the top drawers are lined in felt for jewelry and watches. A brushed gold-tone half-moon pull folds over the top edge of each drawer, and four tapered legs with short center supports keep the long case steady. Style it with warm wood floors and cognac leather for contrast, or with white plaster and linen for a crisp, graphic room.
