The Norcia story

Four panels, three seams.

A flat leather cushion, set into a wooden tray.

Three welted seams divide the cushion into four panels, each seam finished with a row of tan saddle stitching on either side.

The tray turns each corner in a soft curve, and four tapered teak legs stand under it.

The materials

Leather is a natural material, so its tone shifts a little from panel to panel.

The tray

Leather, framed in wood.

The cushion is set into the tray. A narrow wooden rim shows all the way round it, and the tray turns each corner in a soft curve with the end grain showing.

Two small dowel pins sit in the frame just above each leg. To clean the leather, use a non-abrasive cleaning solution and a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth.

The legs

Four legs, almost straight.

Four solid teak legs taper gently to the floor and stand almost straight, set in from the rounded ends of the tray.

A stretcher joins each pair of legs at the ends. The legs are removable, which makes delivery easier in tight spaces, and only minimal assembly is needed.
