- A wide drum over a pedestal: Seen at an angle, the slatted drum overhangs its plain round pedestal by about 8 inches all round, leaving a soft shadow underneath. The pedestal is smooth, with vertical ash grain and no slats.
- Natural ash, open grain: The top is one flat surface of ash veneer with long, straight, open-pored grain in a pale sandy tone. The clear matte finish keeps the colour close to raw ash.

The upper drum is 7 inches deep and wrapped all the way round in narrow vertical slats, each with its own straight ash grain, and the rim of the top is notched to follow them. A plain round pedestal 23.6 inches across carries the drum 6.3 inches above the floor. The finish is clear and matte, so the pale, open ash grain shows as it is, and the table stands 13.4 inches high.
