- Where the reeds meet the top: The flat round top runs right to the edge of the drum, and its rim follows the reeds in a fine scalloped line. There is no overhang and no separate slab, just one continuous brass-toned form.
- A closed drum, seen at an angle: From the side the table reads as one squat cylinder, a little over twice as wide as it is tall, with the reeds catching thin lines of light as they turn around the wall. It stands straight on the floor on small hidden pads.
