The table top is walnut veneer in a dark walnut finish: a narrow cross-banded border runs all round, and inside it each half of the top is a fan of long wedge-shaped leaves meeting at the middle. The edge is stepped, a top board over a slightly recessed band. The top rests on two thick flat slab legs joined by one flat stretcher, and a self-storing 18-inch leaf extends it from 76 to 94 inches. The 59-inch bench repeats the slab legs, the stretcher and the stepped edge. The four armless chairs have a tall rectangular upholstered back pad over two bare walnut posts, a padded seat and square legs, upholstered in a grey textured fabric. The veneer is real walnut, so the figure varies from table to table.
