A compact 35-inch console table in solid mango wood with bone inlay. The body is a racetrack oval: a plain natural mango top edged with a thin rim of cream bone, and a deep side band wrapped all the way round in black and cream bone inlay, with panels of fine vertical stripes alternating with panels of nested chevrons. One wide drawer sits in the front with a small round brass-tone knob; its front carries the same inlay, so only fine seams show where it opens. Four round tapered mango legs splay out toward the ends, with no rails between them. Each bone piece is cut and set by hand, so the joints and the tone of the bone vary a little from table to table. At 13.8 inches deep it suits a narrow hall, an entry or the wall behind a small sofa.
