The 59-inch top is oak veneer stained black, with the open grain limed in fine grey-white lines so the oak figure still shows through the dark finish. It stands on a sculptural hourglass pedestal: two smooth black oak-veneer cones that meet point to point at a narrow waist. Each chair is one channel-quilted pad of black boucle, running from the front of the seat up to the top of the back, on a slim black iron frame. A pale natural-wood rail across the top of the back carries six cognac straps that run down the back of the pad. The veneer is real wood, so the grain varies from table to table.

The table is 59 inches across and 30 inches high and seats 6. Each chair seat is 19 inches wide, 17.75 inches deep and 19 inches high, with the back rising 16 inches above the seat, and the single pedestal leaves room for everyone's knees.
