Every drawer front on Rovigo is carved in four rows of narrow upright staves with softly scalloped ends, each row standing just proud of the one below, like overlapping shingles. The chest is handcrafted from 100% solid mango, so tool marks, small knots and shifts of tone are part of the piece rather than flaws.
A warm chestnut finish runs over the flat, square-edged top, the plain frame and four square legs that taper below a small stepped collar. Three full-width drawers take sweaters, spare linens or everyday odds and ends, and one long brass-style bar crosses the middle of each. Set it beside a leather bed with charcoal linen for a warm loft look, or with white walls and rattan for a relaxed, sunlit room.
