Knotty oak, gently curved. A 70-inch handle-free dresser in weathered knotty oak veneer, with a waterfall end and drawer fronts that wrap the corner.
Sacile is asymmetric by design. At the left end the thick top rolls down in one curve into a full-height panel; at the right, three drawer fronts bend around a quarter-round corner, and the knots and checks in the oak travel with them. That bend is possible because the English knotty oak veneer is laid over bent plywood, with solid wood and MDF elsewhere in the case.
There are no knobs or pulls, so the weathered greige front reads as one long piece of wood, broken only by recessed rails. The top drawers are felt-lined, with a jewelry tray, the bottom drawers are lined in cedar, and all six run on self-closing guides mounted underneath. Style it with white plaster and a black iron lamp for a loft look, or with cream linen and stoneware for a softer room.
