- A rim that follows the reeds: The flat top is cut to the same outline as the drum, so each of the thirty reeds ends in a small rounded lobe at the rim. A fine incised circle runs just inside the edge.
- One carved drum: Seen at an angle the table is a single straight cylinder, reeded all round and standing directly on the floor: no legs, no plinth and no opening, so it looks the same from every side.
- Walnut brown over mango: A deep walnut-brown stain lets the mango grain show through in warmer reddish-brown streaks, finished with a water-based, low-VOC lacquer. Every table's grain is its own.

The whole drum is carved into thirty rounded vertical reeds that run from the floor to the top, and the flat round top follows them, so its rim is scalloped all the way round. The walnut stain lets the mango grain show through in warmer reddish-brown streaks, under a water-based, low-VOC lacquer. It weighs 23 pounds. It is solid wood, so the grain varies from table to table.
