The Termoli story

One slab, two cubbies.

A tall flat headboard. A low, plain frame. A foot box with two open cubbies.

The headboard is a single flat slab of walnut-stained wood that stands on the floor behind the mattress and rises 23.7 inches above the rails.

At the foot, the cubbies have no doors, so a folded blanket or a spare pillow stays within reach.

The design

Low and plain, with a tall slab.

The headboard slab stands on the floor and rises to 39.3 inches, 23.7 inches of it above the rails. Wooden slats carry the mattress 14.2 inches above the floor, so no box spring is needed.

At the foot, a low box holds two open cubbies side by side, split by one thin divider. It sits under the end of the mattress.

Two splayed, tapered legs carry the foot corners, and the solid wooden ends of the box close the cubbies at the sides.

Both sizes are 82.5 inches long and 39.3 inches high. The Queen is 62.1 inches wide, for a 60 by 80 inch mattress; the King is 77.8 inches wide, for a 76 by 80 inch mattress.

The open cubbies are about 29.9 inches wide on the Queen and 37.6 inches wide on the King.
