- Reeds and brass: Narrow rounded reeds follow the curve of each drawer front, and each drawer has one small satin brass knob. The reeds carry on around the case, so the drawers almost disappear.
- A half-moon plan: Seen at an angle the table shows its D shape: a straight back, a continuous curved front and a recessed plinth that lifts the case slightly off the floor.
- Natural beech: The top is plain light beech with a fine, straight grain and small flecks. The natural finish keeps the warm honey tone of the wood.

Narrow rounded reeds run down the curved front and sides, and the two curved drawers are reeded the same way, each with one small satin brass knob. A flat beech top sits over the case, and the case stands on a recessed plinth. Beech is a natural material, so the grain and tone vary from piece to piece.
