A small round side table in solid mango wood, finished in black. The top is a round bowl shape, flat on top and smooth underneath, and it sits on a narrower beehive-shaped base carved all the way round with fine horizontal ribs. The ribs are cut by hand, so they run slightly uneven, like coiled cord. The black stain is matte to soft satin, and a faint brushed wood texture still shows on the flat top. At 13 inches across and 12 pounds it is easy to move wherever a drink or a lamp needs a place.
