A small, plain bench in solid red oak: one flat top, four round tapered legs that lean out to the corners, and nothing underneath.

No apron. No rail. Nothing underneath.
The top is one flat slab of solid red oak, 1 inch thick, with square corners and softly eased edges.
Four round legs taper toward the floor and lean out toward the corners, so the bench looks light from every side.
35.5 inches long and 14 deep, at 18.5 inches high: about the seat height of a dining chair. Nothing on it but the grain of the oak.
