Pale oak, quietly tailored. A dresser about 64 inches wide in cerused oak veneer, with six framed drawers, dark bronze-tone pulls and slim metal legs.
Cerusing fills the open pores of the oak with pale pigment, so the grain reads as fine white flecks and arches on a soft greige ground, and because it is real oak veneer, the pattern differs on every drawer. Each of the six drawers carries its own slim molded border, mitered at the corners, which gives a plain front quiet depth.
The drawers are built with English dovetails and run on ball-bearing glides; the top drawers are felt-lined, the bottom ones have cedar planks, and a removable jewelry tray keeps rings and watches in order. Dark bronze-tone bar pulls on small square backplates and four metal legs with levelers outline the pale case and keep it light on its feet. Style it with a round mirror and olive branches for a Mediterranean feel, or with charcoal linen and black frames for a crisper room.
